Meet a need, change a life
Economic Relief Center
Our Food Bank was initially started in the usher’s room in Covina Assembly of God over 10 years ago.
Our current Food Bank Director, Maureen Hinds, headed the team back then.
As it grew, it was moved to an office in the church, then a building across the street
from the church, and then to its current location in May 2013.
Our Clothing Rack initially started out of an old school bus. It was called the Bus Boutique. It was
parked in the parking lot on property owned by Covina Assembly. As donations began to come in,
it was moved to an office next to the Food Bank until it was moved to its current location in May 2013.
The Second Harvest team gather bread and pastries on a daily basis. They then deliver the products
to our Food Bank and other agencies in the San Gabriel Valley that help those in need.
Our Economic Relief Center services any residents within the San Gabriel Valley. Families or
individuals are welcome to return to our Food Bank and Clothing Rack
once a month to receive free food and clothing.
